Hey look! It’s me!!!
What a delicious looking post from wewilltrampoline
“This is the Hombre Burger from Revolution Brewery in Chicago…..Smoked poblano pepper, avocado, Chihuahua cheese, red pepper crema & tortilla strips, cooked medium. YUM!!!! 8/10 for sure! Perfect with their Double Fist brew. Polish is ORLY, but I forget what colors I used.”
Yesterday Pit Er Pat cofounder Fay Davis-Jeffers posted the first song to her solo SoundCloud page. “Talk With My Body” seems to have grown out of PEP’s recent infatuation with samplers and danceable beats, mixing in a borderline-goofy haunted-house synth line and topping it with a slyly catchy vocal melody that brings to mind some of Yoko Ono’s talkier, less wailing-heavy work. Davis-Jeffers has been talking about doing a solo record for a while, and this track is making me very psyched to hear it. —Miles Raymer

Here is a Chicago thing for you…
Bobby Burg has been doing about 10 gazillion things lately, including putting out a new Love Of Everything album called Sooner I Wish. It’s 4 songs and about 9mins long.
“A lot of it involves dealing with a divorce and not knowing how to start again with another person,” says Burg. “The lyrics are written from contradictory perspectives, switching line by line between the person who wants to end the relationship and the person who wants to make things work.”
Recorded live with a loop pedal and no overdubs except on the vocals, these tracks feature new drummer Matt Holland (Air Waves, Vacations) and were shaped in moments of down time during Vacations’ practices. Although the record clocks in just below nine minutes, Burg’s catchy melodies stick in your head instantly upon first listen and are sure to linger there long after the songs have ended.
